Manor Middle Evacuates for Short Period of Time

Students were evacuated from Manor Middle School around 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 28, after a fire alarm sounded.  A minor lab accident in a science room caused smoke and the alarm to sound, prompting the evacuation.  Fire rescue deemed the room and building safe. Students returned to class at 11:20 and the school day resumed as normal.

Peer Helper Holiday Party

Thank you to all the students, families, and community members who donated toys and other gifts so the Manor Peer Helpers could host a holiday party for over 25 elementary children in the Penn Manor community.  We were joined this year by many former Peer Helper students and other high school students to help with the event. This is an annual event where the Millersville Women’s Club along with our Peer Helpers transform the library into a holiday shop so children can pick gifts for family members.  The students were also treated to lunch and created a craft and were visited by a special guest who brought gifts for each child.  Items not used during the event are donated to local charities thanks to the efforts of our school social workers.  See the pictures below.
